The Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, Dr. Masa'udu Adamu Kazaure has canvased for a system of skills training that ensures that all types of skills for employment are recognized and benchmarked on a common framework. Dr. Kazaure who wants a paradigm shift in skills training from the conventional Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to institutionalization of National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) said the NSQF is fundamental to the recognition, validation, certification and harmonization of skills qualifications acquired from different learning environment.

“Treat Education as an Emergency Second Only to War” - NBTE Board Chairman

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Modupe Adelabu has charged members of the Governing Board to treat education as an emergency second only to war. Prof. Adelabu who gave the charge in an address she delivered at the 80th Regular Meeting of the Board in Kaduna said education is the best panacea for poverty, empowerment and national development.

Minister Tasks Polytechnics on Production of Skilled Manpower

The Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has charged polytechnics in the country to rise up to the task of producing best and efficient skilled and productive manpower. The Minister gave the charge in an address he delivered at the 13th joint convocation ceremony of the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State which was held on 12th May, 2018.
